About Me

First, a letter:

Hey everyone! I suppose this is this part where I’m supposed to tell you a little bit about myself-why you should hire me, why you should follow my blog and care about what I have to say or do, etc.
So here’s a few things you may want to know:
I danced for 15 years, but didn’t make it professionally.
I have wanted to be a photographer, but figured there were already too many.
I wanted to model, but didn’t think I was tall enough or skinny enough.
I have wanted to create a blog many times, and have failed many times.
I have tried again and again.
And failed again and again.
And in the end isn’t that what we all want to hear?
We love the idea of a perfect lifestyle. We love reading about it and seeing pictures of it, so we can imagine ourselves in that spot.
But imagining is not being inspired.
Being inspired comes when you see someone who has come from nothing, grow, learn, fail, and succeed,
until they have failed and succeeded long enough to then obtain their dream.
That is what we want.
That is what we crave.

So if you want to see someone, who has failed, who is still learning, who will have high moments and low moments, who is determined no matter how many times she gets knocked down to get back up and try again-someone who is real, then stick around.

Let’s kick down doors and carve new paths together.

Love,
Maria Jo Stephens
